The Warwick Democratic Committee makes up the local arm of the Democratic Party. Throughout the year the committee works to support Democratic candidates, register voters, and spread the message of Democratic values in our community. Our Committee is the foundation of Party organization. It is the local wing of the Democratic Party, and has the closest contact with the people. We welcome volunteers to attend our monthly meeting and join us in making the Democratic party in Warwick working stronger.
· Get out the vote, voter registration, absentee ballots
· Greeting voters and poll watching on election day
· Endorsement of enrolled Democratic candidates
· Voter and Candidate information
· Raising and disbursing of funds for political purposes
· Monthly meeting to open mindedly discuss all of this
- A Social Group: We're a friendly group of open-minded friends who enjoy getting together to further our common political principles.
- A Learning Environment: If you've never been involved in the political process before, this is the place to begin. We'll give you training and experience in the actual process of government through hands-on, real-world activities.
- A Civic Organization: If you want to serve your community, this is a great way to do it by keeping democracy functioning in Warwick. We work to assure that the public has a range of candidates and viewpoints from which to choose. Come help our voice be heard around Warwick.
- A Training Ground for Candidates and Campaign Managers: If you've ever thought about running for public office – or helping someone you admire to do so – this is the place to learn the basics. We recruit candidates, help raise money, and provide volunteer workers for campaigns from local office to the President of the United States.
